Our political action committee (USW PAC) is comprised of small, voluntary contributions from members like you. As a contributor to USW PAC you are joining thousands of Steelworkers in an effort to build the most effective, member-driven program in the labor movement to elect pro-union, pro-worker candidates.

  • Contributions or gifts to the United Steelworkers Political Action Fund (“USW PAC”) are not tax-deductible.
  • USW PAC makes contributions and expenditures in federal, state and local elections and addresses issues of public importance.
  • Individuals may refuse to contribute without reprisal.
  • Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
  • Federal law prohibits USW PAC from soliciting contributions from individuals who are not USW members, executive and administrative staff or their families. Any contribution received from an ineligible individual will be refused or refunded to that contributor.
  • Guideline amounts are merely suggestions: an individual is free to contribute more or less and the union will not favor or disadvantage anyone by reason of the amount of their contribution or their decision not to contribute.
  • Only U.S. citizens or lawful permanent U.S. residents may contribute to USW PAC.
